How to Prepare your eCommerce business for Black Friday Cyber Monday? BFCM

The biggest sales period of the year for eCommerce businesses is the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend or now days its been stretched to over a week to maximise the increase in demand as more and more consumers are getting used to it. Shipping Labels

This is the most vital product for posting parcels as without shipping labels you wouldn't be able to sending out any parcels for couriers like Australia Post, StarTrack, Fedex, Aramex, Couriers Please, Sendle etc. The logistics standard for shipping labels in Australia is the 100x150mm labels in a roll or Fanfold and we recommend having the following stock in your warehouse:

Packaging Materials

This is the second most important packaging requirement for your eCommerce business as again your cannot ship anything without this. Whether you use mailing satchels or mailing boxes we recommend having the following stock in your warehouse:

Small Businesses: 5000 mailing satchels or mailing boxes stored in your warehouse

Medium Businesses: 30,000 mailing satchels or mailing boxes stored in your warehouse

Cushioning Materials

This packaging material may be the most challenging to store in your warehouse due to the bulky size of the material. Bubble wrap is difficult to store a few months worth as it is very bulky but new cushioning material like the Honeycomb kraft paper wrap is much more compact and can be easily stored when buying a few months worth of supplies. Whether you use bubble wrap or honeycomb kraft paper wrap we recommend having the following stock in your warehouse:

Small Businesses: 6 rolls of bubble wrap to last around 3 weeks or 2 rolls of honeycomb kraft paper wrap stored in your warehouse

Medium Businesses: 18 rolls of bubble wrap to last around 3 weeks or 6 rolls of honeycomb kraft paper wrap stored in your warehouse

Large Businesses: minimum of 30 rolls of bubble wrap to last around 2 weeks or 12 rolls of honeycomb kraft paper wrap stored in your warehouse

 

Please note that for peak season it is always better to buy more than what you need than not buying enough as packaging materials is something that you will always use and will not go to waste.
